Day 6 began early at Bryce Canyon National Park
We started off our day at Bryce Canyon National Park watching the sunrise at Sunset Point. There is a Sunrise and Sunset Point, but the best place for sunrise funny enough is at Sunset Point.
Sunset Point
The parking area is large at this area and plenty of parking in the early morning hours. There are many spots at this area as well to stand and watch the beautiful sunrise. There was a large crowd, but this did not cause any problems in us finding a great spot to catch the sunrise. After watching the sunrise, you can find a trail to hike right from this area.
Navajo/Queen’s Garden Loop Trail
The Navajo/Queen’s Garden Loop can be started from either Sunrise or Sunset Point. We chose to start at Sunset point since we were already there watching the sunrise. This is a popular trail, so you could come across a lot of people. We started right after the sunrise and did not see many people until about halfway through the hike. This is a 2.9 mile moderate loop. You will get to see diverse scenery on this loop throughout seeing the hoodoos and hiking the narrower section going through the switchbacks on Navajo Loop.
Sunrise Point to Sunset Point
We ended the Navajo/Queen’s Garden loop at Sunrise Point since we began at Sunset Point. There is a paved walkway (rim trail) from these points for easy access to each and great views along the way.
Viewpoints to Check Out after the Morning Hike
Driving along the scenic road through Bryce Canyon National Park are many viewpoints to stop at and take in great views. Some of these viewpoints don’t require much of a walk to see the view and others may require a small stroll down a sidewalk to see the view. The only one that requires more than a stroll and up a hill is Inspiration Point.
