📅 Day 1 of Our Utah Mighty 5 Trip
We arrived at Arches National Park at 11:00 AM and, at the time (May 21, 2022), a timed-entry reservation system was in place. 🚗 Pro Tip: Always check the NPS website for updated entry requirements before your trip!

👉 After stopping at the Visitor Center, we drove the 18-mile scenic road to the end of the park, where our hiking adventures began.

1️⃣ Devil’s Garden Trail

📍 Distance: 1.8 miles roundtrip (to Landscape Arch)
🟢 Difficulty: Easy
🌟 Why Hike It?

  • Home to the longest arch in North America – Landscape Arch 🌉
  • Offers multiple spur trails for additional exploration
  • Stunning desert landscapes with unique rock formations

📌 Optional Spur Trails:

  • Pine Tree Arch 🌳 (Short detour, worth it for a great photo spot!)
  • Tunnel Arch ⛰️ (A cool, hidden arch off the main path)

2️⃣ Skyline Arch Trail

📍 Distance: 0.4 miles roundtrip
🟢 Difficulty: Very Easy
🚗 Pro Tip: You can see it from the road, making it a quick stop for photos!


3️⃣ Broken Arch Trail

📍 Distance: 1.2 miles roundtrip
🟢 Difficulty: Easy

  • Pass through open desert and slickrock landscapes
  • Bonus Spur Trail: Sand Dune Arch 🏜️ (Perfect for a fun stop along the way!)

4️⃣ The Windows & Turret Arch Trail

📍 Distance: 1 mile roundtrip
🟢 Difficulty: Easy
🌟 Why Hike It?

  • Visit The Windows (North & South) and Turret Arch – some of the most iconic formations in the park!
  • Short, family-friendly hike with incredible sunrise views.

5️⃣ Double Arch Trail

📍 Distance: 0.6 miles roundtrip
🟢 Difficulty: Easy
📌 Located near The Windows parking lot
🔍 Fun Fact: This is one of the tallest arches in the park, with two massive arches connected at the base!


6️⃣ Delicate Arch Trail (The Most Famous!)

📍 Distance: 3 miles roundtrip
🔴 Difficulty: Strenuous
🌅 Best Time to Go: Sunset! The arch glows in golden light, creating a breathtaking view. 🌄

  • No shade! Bring plenty of water and sun protection ☀️
  • Steep incline & slickrock sections – wear sturdy hiking shoes 🥾
