Our Evening at this State Park on Day 2
Dead Horse Point State Park is a mini Canyonlands. We chose to watch sunset here.
Park Entrance Fee

Sunset Hike
If you choose to visit the park in the evening, starting on the east rim trail and ending on the west rim trail is the perfect way to catch a great sunset with little crowds. This hike starts at the visitor center.
East Rim Trail
This is a mainly flat trail with views of the La Sal Mountains. If you don’t want to do the full loop of both rim trails, you can hike the East Rim to Dead Horse Point Overlook. It is around 1.5 miles to the overlook.
West Rim Trail
This 2.5 mile trail is less traveled, but has great views and well worth the extra miles. It ends back at the visitor center.
