Pigeon Forge, TN is located in the mountains of Sevier County. It is a large tourist attraction area and people come from all over the world to visit. There are so many great things you can find to do that will suit the needs of every family member, so let’s get into it.

Dollywood

One of the main attractions that people visiting Pigeon Forge go to is Dollywood. It is a family amusement park filled with rides for all ages and great shows to watch. We have been to Dollywood more times than I can count throughout the years. Each summer we would go many weekends. Christmas time is also a favorite at Dollywood to watch all of the Christmas shows and see the lights.

Dinner Shows

Pigeon Forge has all kinds of dinner shows to enjoy and the food is really good! Check out some of my favorites when you visit: Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud and Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction (formally known as Dixie Stampede). You are sure to have fun and get your belly full at each of these dinner shows!

Museum Attractions

Pigeon Forge is full of museum attractions. While riding down the parkway, just about everywhere you look there will be a museum attraction. To note a few I’ve went to, there is Titanic, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, and WonderWorks. WonderWorks is the famous upside down house. Each of these museums are worth visiting at least once while in the area. WonderWorks has a lot of fun activities for kids, we used to take field trips here back when we were in school/daycare. Titanic and Alcatraz East are interesting museums to learn all about the history of each.

The Island

This is a good place to hang out during the day or nighttime as there are shops, activities for all, and great eating spots. People of all ages can find something fun to do at the Island. Activities include an arcade, escape room, 7D ride adventure, rides, a ropes course, and the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. The ferris wheel is 200 feet tall and you get spectacular views. There are several restaurants, but my favorite is Margaritaville. Check out their website to plan out your day!

Shopping

Tanger Outlets! Located right off the parkway in Sevierville. This is your perfect one stop shop spot. There is just about every store you can imagine and most always have great deals going on.

All the Arcades/Games/Go Karts/Mini Golf

The pigeon forge parkway is filled with places that have these activities. Dave and Busters is our favorites for arcade games, since they also have food. We enjoy going there in the evenings to eat and play games.

Of course on the outskirts of the Pigeon Forge Parkway, there are lots of hiking trails all throughout the Smoky Mountains and as you get into Gatlinburg. A separate post will be made on that as I just wanted to focus on things to do directly in Pigeon Forge. I hope you found this post helpful!
